10 Residential Burglary, 1 Business and Community Burglary, 3 Vehicle Offences and 0 Robbery.
Following the increase in Residential Burglaries last week, Neighbourhood staff, District staff and Force Resources will be tasked with providing extra attention over the coming weeks.
1 Residential Burglary was to a Garden Shed.
Vehicle stolen from Marple during a Burglary on 20/12/22 was seen yesterday bearing false plates and was pursued due to its manner of driving. The vehicle had one occupant on board and after a short pursuit crashed in Hyde. The pursuing officer then saw the driver exit the vehicle where he ran away and was detained nearby. Driver has been released on Bail pending CPS Charging Decision.
Male Arrested following Theft of vehicle in Marple on 6th January. Vehicle was sighted and pursued before being abandoned and driver running off. He was tracked by Tactical Dog Unit, property recovered and arrested. He was charged, remanded in Police Custody and appeared before the court on 7th January

Following the 2 Business Burglaries on Ashton Road, a large amount of property has been recovered, and 4 arrests made. There are extensive enquiries to complete, and conditional Bail has been granted to 2 suspects.

The Business Burglary was an attempt, with entry not gained.
Two of the Residential Burglaries were by entering through unlocked doors, and a male from Bredbury has been arrested and charged with 2 of the Residential Burglaries, along with one offence of fraud, and with the theft of a vehicle.
He appeared in Custody at Magistrates Court on 31st December.
