Firstly a couple of items of good news to share, which were posted to our Facebook page….

# CHARGED / Adam GARSIDE (25.01.1993) of no fixed abode who was recently charged by the neighbourhood team on the 15th February was recently released from Prison. Since release he has continued his offending. Yesterday. (19th March) following arrest, he has again been charged by the team with 3 theft offences and assault emergency worker. He has been sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment at Stockport Magistrates court. 
The Neighbourhood Team are continuing the positive action in the Woodley area and this forms part of a number of proactive operations that have and will be taking place. We want the residents who raised concerns about anti-social behaviour in the area to see the great work that we and the local partners are taking to make the communities safer. 

 

# Arrested - In the early hours of the 1st of March approximately 00:03hrs there was a knife point robbery at the cash point on Romiley Precinct where an elderly gentleman was targeted and cash stolen. Officers from the Neighbourhood Crime Team now have a male in custody. Police are appealing for any further witnesses or video evidence to support this investigation. 
Neighbourhood Sgt Jason Holmwood has stated °This is clearly a disturbing incident and the level of premeditation by the offender is concerning. This does however appear to be an isolated incident and I am pleased we have an offender in custody.
