Offerton/Stepping Hill/Hazel Grove
First we have some welcome news to share…
Yesterday afternoon (Monday 23rd September 2024) a red Honda motorcycle failed to stop for officers on Wellington Road North, Stockport.
The bike crashed on London Road, Hazel Grove, with the rider and passenger making off on foot.
The passenger was located and arrested, while the rider is being sought and will also be brought to justice.
This was the fourth motorbike seized by #OpHurricane and officers from our Stockport Neighbourhood Teams since Friday.

A noteworthy incident to share with you, relating to the Vehicle Crime entry for Sandy Lane, Romiley…..
Following the pursuit of a male on a moped that is believed to be stolen, the rider eventually crashes and is detained. Upon a search, is located in possession of a quantity of cannabis and a drill.
The moped in question is linked with several burglaries on the Trafford division and therefore, it was suspected that this drill is to be used in a burglary.
The moped was stolen from Stockport Road, Strines in July.
The rider was a 19 year old male, not resident in Stockport.
He was duly interviewed and was bailed for an offence of Robbery. to Attend at Pendleton 19th December 2024.
He was Charged for the offence of: Drive whilst disqualified, Aggravated vehicle taking and property damage under £5000. on
He was also Charged for the offence of: Fail to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by constable and for the offence of: Possess a controlled drug of Class B.
Court Hearing scheduled for Fri 20/09/2024 at 10:00 BST at Stockport Magistrates Court, where he appeared in Police Custody.
He was further arrested for the offence of Licence Revoked (wanted for recall to prison). So that is his immediate future mapped out for him!!!
